Andrea Paul, MD, is a physician-turned-entrepreneur and the Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of BoardVitals, a health and medical education company that helps healthcare professionals prepare for certification exams and meet maintenance of certification, and continuing education requirements. Named one of the ‘Top 10 Disruptive Women in Life Sciences,’ Dr. Paul founded BoardVitals which has trained more than 100,000 health professionals and is used by more than 400 institutions. BoardVitals was named #251 on the Inc. 500 and #14 on Crain’s Fast 50 in 2018. Andrea also spends her time as a venture partner in a health care VC fund (SpringTide Investments), on the executive committee of Springboard’s Women’s Health Accelerator, doing public speaking, and advises and mentors many female entrepreneurs and physician entrepreneurs. Dr. Paul grew up in Canada then attended Michigan State Medical School and did her residency years at Yale University and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
