A Little About The Wave

Tampa Bay Wave is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to help local entrepreneurs build, launch, and grow breakout tech companies in Tampa Bay Wave measures its results in terms of impact metrics, rather than profits. With the Wave Accelerator Program and Wave Venture Center, Tampa Bay Wave provides tech startups with educational resources, flexible office space, mentorship, and strategic introductions to help them accelerate business growth. Launched in June 2008, Tampa Bay Wave supports over 100 early-stage tech firms today from the initial development stage to the point where they become second stage companies. Wave takes no equity from the startups it serves.

Wave Venture Center

The Wave Venture Center is Tampa Bay Wave’s 10,000 square foot innovative coworking and incubation space located in the heart of downtown Tampa. Home to nearly two dozen tech startups and dozens of crazy tech-talented coworkers, the Wave Venture Center is an integral part of Tampa Bay’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Linda Olson, President

Linda Olson is the CEO & founder of Tampa Bay Wave, a 501c3 nonprofit committed to the expansion of Tampa Bay's innovation-driven economy by providing early stage companies with the resources they need to build bold, innovative breakout tech companies. Wave has supported over 300 tech startups since 2013 who collectively have raised over $250 million and created nearly 2,000 jobs. With extensive mentor, corporate, and investor networks, Tampa Bay Wave runs the only Florida-based accelerator accepted into GAN, the global accelerator network.

Linda is a member of Startup Champions Network (formerly Startup America Partnership). She also serves as an Honorary Commander at MacDill Air Force Base and on advisory boards for the Straz Center, Centre for Women, and Visit Tampa Bay. In 2019, Linda was selected to the U.S. delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Bahrain.

A native of St. Pete Beach, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, including two amazing daughters whom she is raising to be future female entrepreneurs in Tampa Bay.
